rack::SPEED nameservers: which ones to use?
If your domain is registered with another provider and should point to your rack::SPEED hosting, enter our nameservers there. Which ones depends on your hosting panel: Plesk and cPanel run on separate nameserver systems. As soon as the domain is added in your panel, all required DNS records are configured automatically.
The nameservers
Section titled “The nameservers”ns.rackspeed-dns.dens.rackspeed-dns.euns.rackspeed-dns.comns.rackspeed-dns.netThe Plesk nameservers run on an anycast networkSeveral servers distributed worldwide respond under the same IP address, and requests automatically reach the nearest location. Faster and more resilient than a single nameserver location., so DNS responses come from the nearest location.

It can take hours until expired caches are refreshed worldwide., the change can take a few hours to take effect everywhere.
Alternative: A record pointing to the server IP
Section titled “Alternative: A record pointing to the server IP”If you want to keep DNS management with your current provider, you can create an A record with your server’s IP address instead:
In Plesk, you find your server’s IP address under Websites & Domains in the details of your domain.
In cPanel, you find your server’s IP address in the right sidebar under the server information.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The change “does not work”
Section titled “The change “does not work””DNS changes take time. Caches at providers and in the operating system keep old responses until the TTL expires.
Solution: Wait a few hours, then check with a neutral tool such as intoDNS.
Nameservers entered, but the domain still does not work
Section titled “Nameservers entered, but the domain still does not work”You may have used the nameservers for the wrong panel. Plesk (rackspeed-dns.*) and cPanel (rackspeed-cloud.*) use separate systems. The wrong family does not know your domain.
Solution: Enter the nameserver family for your panel (see the tabs above).
Email auto-configuration does not work
Section titled “Email auto-configuration does not work”Your domain probably uses external nameservers, so the required SRV records are missing.
Solution: Switch to our nameservers or enter the server settings manually.
Problems in the domain provider’s interface
Section titled “Problems in the domain provider’s interface”Unfortunately, we cannot see into other providers’ management interfaces.
Solution: Contact the provider’s support directly. As soon as the nameservers are set, we take over.
